UV-C Efficiency
Water transparency to ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength of 254 nm is an essential parameter for disinfection. Indicatively:
- Demineralized water: Transmittance of 99%
- Filtered water: Transmittance between 90% and 95%
- Filtered wastewater: Transmittance of 60-65%

For proper installation of the UV sterilizer, it is strongly recommended to install:
- a pressure reducer (not included in the kit)
- a check valve (not included in the kit)
- a hydraulic bypass system (not included in the kit)
To protect the quartz tube from clouding and reduce the frequency of maintenance required for its cleaning, it is recommended to install a pre-filtration system with a filtration grade between 20 and 50 μm upstream of the UV sterilizer.
