Addressable and networkable analogue control panel for automatic fire detection and alarm systems

CIPRA216 is a modular system for the creation of fire detection and extinguishing systems (max. 24 channels).

It allows you to configure your system in a modular way and expand it according to your specific needs. Previdia control panels can be composed of a single cabinet or multiple cabinets (max 4) connected together to form a single control panel capable of managing up to 32 IFM units (loop modules, I/O modules, extinguishing modules, etc.) and 8 FPM front modules (back-up CPU, LED modules, etc.).

Thanks to the functional modules and with the help of installation kits, the fire detection control panel is able to adapt to any type of environment or installation/design requirement, creating configurations suitable for any application.

The IFM modules, which connect to the CAN DRIVE bar, are “hot swap” type and can therefore be replaced or added without turning off the system. In this way Previdia is able to guarantee a fast and safe method of intervention without interrupting the service.

The IFM2L loop modules are equipped with the technology, developed at the INIM ELECTRONICS laboratories, “power up boosters” that allows the operating voltage of each loop to be set for different operating situations.

Thanks to the distributed intelligence structure, which uses a microprocessor inside each module, redundant microprocessors in the main unit and the possibility of having a backup CPU, Previdia Max guarantees unparalleled reliability.

The system security is no longer entrusted to a single processing unit but to a group of interconnected CPUs that operate in synergy to provide a faster and more effective response. This means that the control panel has been certified to manage over 512 fire alarm points as required by the EN54 part 2 standard.

The Previdia control panel, as required by the EN54 part 2 standard, is able to manage GAS detection directly on the loop, via special interface cards, I/O or 4-20mA modules, assigning different display modes and priorities than those required for fire alarms.

Thanks to the network architecture, Previdia allows the creation of hybrid networks based on connection via twisted pair, optical fiber and TCP-IP networks capable of overcoming any barrier and reaching unimaginable coverage.

Each cluster of control panels interconnected via the Hornet+ network can connect up to 48 control panels and up to 20 clusters can be interconnected via TCP-IP. Each cluster can be composed of either a Hornet+ network, a control panel connected in TCP/IP or a repetition panel connected in TCP/IP.

Previdia, thanks to the intensive use of technologies such as e-mail, web server, TCP/IP connections, GSM telephone communications and concepts such as graphic maps and video alarm verification, via IP cameras, provides a system that is always under control and within reach, drastically reducing response times in moments of real danger and significantly reducing the incidence of false alarms.

On the Previdia control panel loop it is possible to directly connect the HARPER series emergency lighting and signalling lamps and thus have a system with innovative functions for the supervision and periodic maintenance of the system.

Previdia is able to carry out all the tests required by current regulations for periodic verification, and, through the programming software, generate all the necessary documentation required by the regulations in force.
