The main advantages consist of reduced maintenance, avoiding continuous cleaning interventions as insects and especially spiders prevent proper television viewing by forming cobwebs in front of the lens. An additional advantage is obtained in the vision during days with heavy rain or snow at night, water drops and snowflakes create an annoying white barrier. And finally, not to overlook the low absorption of 5W, compared to the 15W of cameras with infrared illuminator where there are old or insufficiently sized wiring.
