The UV Germicidal Lamp has a power of 38W and is made up of two tubes (replaceable) which guarantee a duration of over 6,000 hours and a range of action of 60m². The sanitization process of the lamp lasts 30 minutes and is easily transportable.

The germicidal lamp emits specific wavelengths in the ultraviolet spectrum, generating a double sterilizing action. As observable in the spectrogram, the lamp emits 2 bands:

band with maximum amplitude on wavelength 254nm: guarantees sterilization thanks to the effect of germicidal ultraviolet radiation
band with maximum amplitude on wavelength 200nm (also containing the wavelength 185nm): guarantees the production of ozone.
Germicidal ultraviolet radiation
Germicidal ultraviolet radiation (λ = 254nm) destroys bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms, modifying their DNA or RNA and therefore inactivating them and preventing their reproduction. This principle allows the disinfection of water and air.

Ozone sanitization
UV rays (λ = 185nm) when they hit the oxygen molecules (O₂) present in the air, generate a chemical reaction that has the product of the Ozone molecule (O come). Ozone is the triatomic oxygen molecule (O₃), the most powerful oxidant available in nature, used to eliminate algae, bacteria and viruses, as well as oxidize numerous organic and inorganic contaminants. Ozone is a powerful antiviral, since the virus inactivation percentage is 99.99%. The use of ozone guarantees absolute purification and sterilization from all pollutants present in the air.

The germicidal lamp produces light in the particular ultraviolet spectrum, and ozone. These two peculiarities allow to inactivate the DNA of microorganisms by inhibiting their ability to proliferate and therefore contamination.

The germicidal lamp emits UV (ultraviolet) rays and generates Ozone. UV radiation is harmful to the skin and eyes and intense exposure to ozone is also harmful as it can cause irritation of the eyes, nose, throat and respiratory system. To activate the lamp, press the touch switch and wait 10 seconds. Before activating it will emit an intermittent acoustic signal. Thanks to the integrated timer function, the lamp switches off automatically after 30 minutes. Make sure that no people and / or animals are present within the 60 m2 operating range of the lamp. Avoid looking directly at the light emitted by the lamp. After sterilization (lasting 30 minutes) it is recommended to ventilate the room for 20-30 minutes. However, access to the sterilized area is recommended after at least one hour after the lamp has been turned off.
