This automatic universal resin disinfection system can be used for all types of water softeners up to 300 liters of resin.

The chlorine generator is the simple and economical solution for disinfecting the resins of your water softener. In fact, using the regenerating brine it is able to effectively sterilize any type of water softener.

The production of chlorine is achieved with an "electrolysis" process.

Through the electrodes, the control unit warns, due to an increase in conductivity, the passage of the brine when the suction cycle begins and is automatically activated by circulating current on the electrodes which through electrolysis will produce gaseous chlorine thanks to which the softener resins will be disinfected. The process stops automatically when the brine stops passing over the electrodes.

OPERATION:

- Connect the probe to the brine suction line of your softener (using the appropriate adapters).

- Check how many liters of resin are contained in your water softener (see the water softener instruction manual).

- Make sure that the electrical plug of our generator is disconnected, open the box by removing the 4 screws underneath. There is a trimmer on the board that adjusts the timer clockwise from 1 to 70 minutes. Every programmed minute is able to disinfect 1 liter of resin.

- Close the lid, connect the plug to the mains.

- The system is ready to operate.

How it works: during regeneration the softener sucks in the brine, our system senses the passage of brine and activates NaCl electrolysis for the time set directly on the probe. At the end of this time the generator shuts down for 4 hours (it ignores any brine passage). After 4 hours the system is ready to disinfect the resins again.

The green LED indicates the system is live, the red LED indicates the system is disinfecting.

How do you install the chlorine generator on the water softener?

Connect the probe (titanium cell) to the brine suction line of your water softener. For this operation, use the fittings and adapters supplied. Check the quantity of resin contained in the water softener. For this data please consult the technical data sheet of the water softener itself. Make sure that the power supply plug is disconnected from the electrical outlet and use a small Phillips screwdriver to adjust the adjustment trimmer according to the liters of resin. Every programmed minute is able to disinfect 1 litre. of water softener resin. Once the trimmer has been adjusted, connect the power supply plug to the mains again. The system is ready to function properly.
