Pentair TLC membranes for residential use
The best way to evaluate the overall filtration quality of a reverse osmosis system is to measure the rejection, i.e. the percentage of dissolved solids removed from the incoming water. In other words, the greater the rejection, the more performing the membrane. The recovery of a reverse osmosis system represents the quantity of permeate produced compared to the quantity of concentrate eliminated through the drain. The higher the recovery, the lower the rejection.
Structure of the reverse osmosis membrane
The spiral wound membrane element consists of one or more membrane envelopes wrapped around a perforated central tube. The purified water passes through the membrane and is, therefore, conveyed into the permeate collection material, while all the impurities captured through the rejection remain in the spacer of the supply channel.
The Pentair TLC Range
The TLC ™ (Thin Layer Composite) range is made up of three different sizes, 50 GPD, 75 GPD and 100 GPD, which allow to satisfy every type of requirement. The dimensions of these membranes are standard and they can be installed in any reverse osmosis system available on the market.

The advantages of TLC ™ membranes
Pentair TLC membranes are 100% dry for maximum storage. Each reverse osmosis membrane is individually packaged, dry, in a plastic bag. No chemical preservatives are added, avoiding the risk of bacterial contamination, which can occur when the preservative runs out.
High rejection stability with inlet of total dissolved solids (TDS)
Whatever the amount of total solids dissolved in the incoming water, the TLC ™ membranes always guarantee optimal performance. Rejection remains stable between 96% and 98% even at 1000 ppm.
Pentair TLC membranes are tested and certified by NSF International according to NSF / ANSI Standard 58, which guarantees savings in time and money during the NSF certification process of the complete reverse osmosis system by the OEM.
The TLC-100 is tested and certified by NSF International to NSF / ANSI Standard 58, for material requirements only. TLC-24, TLC-36, TLC-50 and TLC-75 are tested and certified by NSF / ANSI according to Standard 58 for the reduction of arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium (hexavalent), chromium (trivalent), copper, turbidity, fluoride, lead, radium 226/228, selenium or TDS.
Filters and membrane elements should not be installed on microbiologically unsafe water supplies. TLC membranes are not certified for the disinfection of water and the removal of cysts, bacteria or viruses. The performance of the filter and the membrane element can be affected by fluctuations in water quality.

Note: Being a food grade product, it will arrive sealed in a clear vacuum bag. It is possible to check the dimensions of the connections without having to unpack the filter. If you have purchased the membrane with the wrong measurements, it is essential not to tear the bag. Otherwise we will NOT be able to proceed with the replacement or return. Any shipping costs for the return of the product purchased by mistake will still be at your expense.
